Asher Amanor

Asher Amanor has been a narcotics analyst with the Narcotics Control Commission, Ghana from 2013 to date. She also provides translation and interpreting services in French, English, Spanish, and Arabic for individuals, groups, and corporate institutions. Asher taught French as a foreign language at the Anglican Education Unit, Accra from 2002 to 2013. Asher holds Teacher Certificate ‘A’ from Mount Mary Teacher Training College, Somanya, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Translation Studies from the Ghana Institute of Languages, Master’s degree in Gender Peace and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Center. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Migration studies with a focus on mobility and drug trafficking at the Centre for Migration Studies, University of Ghana. Her research interests include mobility and drug trafficking, labour migration, return, and reintegration gender mobility, and conflict.
