Until recently, Owusuaa Eshia was an Executive Manager (Guidance Counselling Unit) and a faculty member of Accra Institute of Technology (AIT). She is currently a full-time student at the University of Ghana, offering a Ph.D. in Migration Studies. She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing UK, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Ghana where she majored in Psychology and minored in Sociology. She also has a Master of Philosophy in Childhood Studies from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim, Norway. Owusuaa Eshia’s research interest is in migration and development, forced displacement, climate migration, and displacement, migrants’ livelihoods, and migration governance. She also has a special interest in working with and for children and young people, minority groups including people with disability. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK). She is also an Associate member of the Ghana Psychology Association (GPA). Her soft skills include effective communication and listening skills, people skills, teamwork, the ability to work independently, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
