Dr. Dostin Lakika

Dostin Lakika is an interdisciplinary social scientist and Research Associate at the University of the Witwatersrand School of Social Sciences and French Institute of South Africa (IFAS‑Research). He’s experienced in fieldwork with vulnerable and mobile communities. His research focuses on militarization, violence, memory, migration, resilience, mental health, and the intersections of food, illness, and belonging in displacement contexts.
